Social media strengthens connections and collaborations. It’s a way to share knowledge with your: community, clients, staff, volunteers, other agencies, and those seeking your expertise. Wonderful, right?

In 2018 it is used to turn communication into interactive dialogue among communities and individuals. Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, GooglePlus, the list goes on. These platforms enable users to create and share content or to participate in social networking, and who in this day and age doesn’t want to be able to do that for their organization?

Seeing and Being Seen in the Arts Community

As a creator, I am always interested in the arts and cultural goings on across Canada. As a contributor to the Sharevision blog I have been even more cognizant of the happenings in the arts from an inclusion perspective. So when I caught a radio interview about an art exhibition at the Pendulum Gallery in Vancouver featuring only artists who are living with disabilities and who use wheelchairs, I paid attention.

Coffee shops give sense of purpose – more than a morning eye opener

I recently went out for dinner with a friend who told me about an exciting new project that he was a part of. Among other things, my friend and I share a common goal of purposeful community. The project he is involved in will provide supportive housing, as well as community amenity spaces including a gym, a coffee shop, and non-profit offices. Exciting stuff.
